I know how to use the safepoint facility, but a new nas does not have this possibility but insted have a backup facility. Is there a documention of this, because the manual i have only covers the safepoint.???

The user manual for the second gen v2.x My Cloud erroneously calls âBackupâ Safepoint, but the directions in the 2nd gen user manual are correct for how to perform a Backup.

thank you so much for this information. I only had the manual for the first gen of the nas, but I had to help my brother (He does not read English) and he has the second gen Nas I found out.

What is the brand and model of the USB drive?
Couple of suggestions. Check the new USB drive for errors. Check the USB drive to ensure it is in a format the My Cloud supports (https://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=15124). Eject the USB drive through the My Cloud Dashboard (USB icon) wait a few minutes, then re-attach the drive to the My Cloud. Create a different new Safepoint backup.
En un principio estĂĄ bien, tiene formato NFTS. He comprobado los errores en otro pc.
Ahora es la tercera vez que hago el intento de hacer el safepoint.
Lo expulso correctamente y lo he vuelto a colocar en el usb.

Ahora, tengo un disco Toshiba 1 Tb y cuando lo conecto tengo problemas en la red, y cuando lleva un rato empezando hacer safepoint, da error.
