I purchased a new laptop and was able to retrieve all my files. When I setup the file backup in WD SmartWare it will not let me checkmark the Documents folder. When I completed a category backup it does not backup the Documents folder at all. My old laptop had no problem backing up this folder. Old laptop was running Windows 8 new laptop is Windows 10.
Please try downloading the latest version of the software from the WD Support site and try setting that again. You should be able to backup your documents as well.
