While the WD Passport Ulta works under WD software to keep a few copies of each file on computer,. I believe it should be capable of creating a separate partitionor file chamber where I could also occasionally save a complete system image of computer. Thus having two back ups on external same hard drive. the usual docuemts and files in x copies AND a system image to reload computer is the operating system goes wrong.
At present i keep my OS full C drive image of a separate external hard drive.
However the combination would be most attractive.
