Backing up

Hi all

I’m new to this forum I bought a wd3200me. With the intention to use it to backup my computer. I tought it came with the backup software WD Smartware to automatically back up my machine but apparently it did not. so now I’m stuck can anyone help me out. Can I download the software. I was also under the impression once I reg . It I can download the software.

This model of My passport essential does not come with any type of backup software. You can use what built into your OS.
