I have installed the above and connected Phone and my Desktop PC. I can see it on the network and I have created a Public Folder. I can back up my PC the Device no problem.
I also need to back up other computers on the same network to the MyCloud. Unfortunately I cannot see the device from the other computers running Win 10 and Win 7, so I am unable to set windows backup on the other computers. I have seen the info on SMB1.0 and turned this on where needed, but still have the same issue.
I am assuming its not the add user options where an email is produced to the user ? as it would be my email address in every instance ?

Hi, there are two types of shares available on My Cloud Home device:
1. Private Share : To access private share, we can use My Cloud Home app and WD Discovery app 2. Public Share : To access public share, we can use a simple file manager
On Windows: Since My cloud home uses SMB1 protocol, we have to enable it in "Turn Windows Features On/Off" in Windows settings to access it
On iOS: SMB1 is not supported, so use a third party app
Android: Use any file manager, personally I use: Cx File Explorer
How to access Public Share:
1. Find the local IP of My Cloud Home:
You can use a network scanner like “WIFI Man” on Android
You can find it in Router settings
You can scan it via network discovery in Windows
2. Enter the local address in file manager in following way:
In Windows:"\\<server ip>\Public" (Please use the backslash carefully)

Thanks very much for your reply, that looks easy - I understand about the SMB1 and have switched that all on on my desktop.
So I have installed the the apps on my desktop and that works fine - this is the private share which I
will use to back up my desktop pc using win 10 backup - that looks all OK.
So now I have 3 laptops 2 x win 10 and 1 x win 7 (My oldest running other applications) which I need to back up to the MyCloud Home drive.
So how would I be able to create a public share and / or private share for each of the 3 different laptops and be able to access them so that each can be set to back up automatically to MyCloud Home to their separate shares.
Is it possible to create a private share for each of the laptops to back up to and how would I do this ? Would I just do it as per the add users / shares in the instructions ? There are no separate email addresses for these laptops ?
