Backing up a MBL to a USB dive on a Mac Mini

Looking for some help please.

My network has PC’s & Macs usinga 2TB MBL. 

I now wish to backup my MBL data to an external Seagate USB disk.  This disk is connected to my Mac Mini.

When running the MBL dashboard and trying to create a Safepoint the network discovery doesnot find the Mac Mini only a PC on the network.  While in Finder I can see the Seaget drive quite happily

How do I force the software to find the USB drive on the Mac.

Hello happilyover40, welcome to the Community. The USB drive must be shared on the network in order to be visible by other devices.
