Backed up files not read by new installation

I had a major computer failure and had to buy new PC.

Installed WD software for my WD My Book Elite.

Now in the software, it shows that the drive is fully, but when I try to retrieve the back ups, it does not read them as backup files and so I cannot retrieve the data…

What can I do?

Also, when i did a Quick Drive Test - it failed without saying why or what.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

I don’t use the Smartware. I did see you need the same version of Smartware to retrieve that you backed up with. I don’t know if the Anywhere Backup is like the Smartware but I saw this
