Back Up My Cloud

I just bought a WD passport to back up WD My Cloud. I have to passpot plugged into the back of the Cloud via USB and I can not get the dash board to find the passport. Any ideas?

Is your WD Passport password-protected? If so it will not work. You will need to permanently remove the password first.

It did not show up as a network drive or Share on the Dashboard?
