I have just installed 2TB My cloud and started initial back up. Total files =140 gb. Started 3 pm yesterday, now 9am today and only just reached 50%. Also shows approx 15% files not backed up. Most are shown as “the system cannot find the specified file”. As you can appreciate once back up complete which I expect to take 36 hours I will still not have a true back up. I can see the files wd will not back up. Any ideas before I convince myself this was a bad choice.

Make sure that those files are not protected
What firmware are you running on the device?
Are you using the software that comes with the drive to perform the backup?
Are all the devices on your network gigabit?
