How do I get my Windows machines (Win 7 Pro 64 bit and Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit ) to automatically mount the PR4100 shares the way they mount the Samba drives shared by another Windows laptop (also Win 7).
I have a Win7 Pro laptop sharing two RAID5 enclosures, a Ubuntu box sharing its drives and two PR4100s.
When I boot up, one of my personal laptops, the Windows shared RAIDs ( over SMB ) are automatically loaded ( username and password are ‘sticky’) but both the Ubuntu and PR4100 shares do not mount automatically. I have to click them.
I have noticed that same behavior with my work laptop and the SMB drives at work ( over VPN, the servers are all LInux ).
Is this an issue with Linux? Or is there some script I can push into my Windows profile that will automatically mount the shared drives?
