Automatic Backup & Network Folders

Just bought My Passport from Costco, and wanted to check in here before returning the product.

I want to use the Automatic Backup feature (outlined here  http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=640), and I’ve noticed the backup software will only recognize local drives. I want the drive to include folders that are located on my network, and attached to my computer as network drives.

Am I missing something here? I can’t seem to get the software to let me to select folders located within the network drives that are mapped to my computer.

Hello mate, smartware will only work when the passport is connected directly to the computer and it can only backup local drives, but I guess that searching on Google you can find a software that works for you.
