hi, I would like to know if wd mycloud support auto upload of amended files back to the original folder? My mac, using excel automatically backup the files after amendment.

To make sure I get this right, the file is already save on the my cloud and you are just editing that file and you want to know if the edited file will be safe on the My Cloud?
If the drive is mapped on your computer, you shouldn’t have any issues. You should be able to save an edited file back to the mapped drive

The My Cloud is a nas drive. You would need a backup software to “auto upload” files to the My Cloud, and then the same software to “restore” the files back to your computer. If you edit a file and the backup software backs it up to the My Cloud, then whatever is backed up will be restored.
