The only way I can backup my pictures is turn off auto backup then turn it on in my cloud home app. It will then upload my pictures from my Samsung galaxy S9. I have to do this every time

Just clear the cache and reinstall the updated version of My Cloud Home Mobile app from Google Playstore in this concern.
