Attic Backup on WD My Cloud?

I have purchased a WDMyCloud 3TB and would like to use it for offsite backup of private files.

And I see no encrypt option available.

I know that rsync could use the secure channel for transfer but I cannot encrypt the remote volume with the location not under my control.  In this regards, I would like to use Attic Backup for remote encrypted incremental sync.

I tried to install ipkg on wdmycloud but not success.  And not able to compile the attic for the device.

Can anyone please hint me to the next step to try? 

I am okay with either v3  or v4 firmware.

Hello mcdull, I haven’t tried ipkg before, but let’s see if other users can share their advice. Also note that third party apps are not supported.
