How secure is an attached USB drive? Can it only be seen on the local nework or is it posible that it can be seen and accessed over the internet? It was setup as a public share.
All the sharing services are enabled to the local network only. I’ve tried WAN access with no success. So your drive is as secure as your local devices as long as they don’t have malware.
