Hi there,
I have got a WD10EARX recently for my office, i need to know that, i have formatted the drive in my home pc,which has WIN7, i full format the drive,All NTFS,4 partitions

now i have to plug it in my office pc,which has ‘win XP’, I have already plug it in, Drive is running in Slave envoierment,Only for backups.

DO I NEED TO USE WD ALIGN SOFTWARE?

Your English is fine. 

If you download the aligment tool, it will tell you two things – what drives in the  computer are AFD drives and if  they are aligned or not – at that  point you can decided to run the tool or not  – If your formated it on W7 then moved it to XP, the 

drive are empty? – If that is the case the AFD tool ( running on XP ) should run very quickly

Yes i downloaded and in installed the WD align, that reports that all drive are aligned, no need to run Alignment Tool. 

Reports:

‘the partitions are aligned properly,no further action required’.
