Your insanely pathetic hardware and software is the biggest joke I have ever seen… It just get’s worse and worse.
You guys are not engineers, developers, coders. Not even close. How do you even have a job?
Why so fast to blame the device and not something else on your network that might be slowing down the transfer rate? 
I have a MBL, and I get around 15/17 Mbps. Check the link below for some suggestions you can try.

Yeah, i have no problems hitting consistant and reliable speeds of 40/55MB/s UP and 70/80MB DOWN with a wired solution through a 1000mbit switch, Across 20/25ft wireless i can hit 4/5.5MB/s consistant, im sure if my router were closer i could get better speeds, however this speed seems fast enough for streaming directly from my mbl right now.
im using the original firmware that shipped with the mbl.

Have you try to disable the On-Access Scan from your anti-virus software?
I found out it is the biggest slow down.
