Are the Thunderbolt-3/USB-C drives self powered?

Hi All,

Looking at purchasing a G-Drive with Thunderbolt 3/USB-C and wondering can these devices be powered through either the Thunderbolt/USB-C interface rather than using the power adapter.

Only the ones that are named Mobile. If Mobile is not in the name of the device it will come with and require a power adapter.

Thanks for the reply. That’s a shame though, given USB-C is spec’ed to deliver quiet a lot of power.
