Are M2ts HD Files unable to be fast forwarded / backw. correctly using the WDTV Live?

Firmware 1.4.22

I do simply cut and save ( VideoReDo TV Suite 4  latest ) my HD TV Movies to M2ts and i realized now that if i fast forward, no matter if 2x 4x 8x 16x, once i press play again it jumps around

  • like 40 mins to its end

  • to be beginnings

  • inbetween anywhere not wanted

I see no sense in this behave?

On the PC they do forward / backward without any Problem.

I tried both Network and USB , same behaves.

If i put all in a MKV it has no such Issues.

I tested also in DVR Studio HD 2 which is same behaving with jumping around.

Although i have to say its different behaving. DVR Studio is not so extreme jumpy.

So perhaps the y use 2 different ways to create the M2TS File.

ATM i can recommend creating a MKV other then using M2TS. There its working.

Dunno if that is a fault by WD .

Perhaps the M2TS cant handle this from scratch.
