Apps Spins and Times Out

My WD Discovery software for my My Easystore 5TB drive will not give me access to APPS. When I click the tab, I get the blue wheel of death and then it times out a couple minutes later with a message to check back later. This is a brand new device and encountering this kind of problem is unacceptable. What do I need to do to be able to get access to the APPS so that I can actually use this thing?
