"application not started from drive"

Hi,

I have installed WD Smartware on an old computer, and saved all my files before it finally died. Now I want to use the My Passsort Essential SE on a new computer. I would work.

Problem is that the software is not on the drive, but I cannot copy the downloaded files for installation there. The message “application not started from drive” appears.

Hi there, what operating system is the new computer? You’ll have to make some updates first if the computer is new, and try to install Smartware directly from here.
