[APP] Transmission various versions for firmware V4+ (05/2020)

Thanks, problem solved¡¡¡¡

Doh! I’m having that issue with files being inaccessible from Windows (read only).
I want my downloads to be in a different share, what are the required changes?

Duh! Obviously if you change the download location, you’ll need to change the paths/files permission/ownership manually.

In that case then, perhaps a symbolic link would be better for me; thank you for the prompt reply.

Hi Nazar,

Somehow I am not able to see credentials and keys on your page. No matter how i try, I can’t find it now.
I was able to see it before, but I needed it again as I updated my firmware.

You need to click on my https link on the 1st post. WD made some changes to this forum and I’ve fixed it earlier tested on both latest IE/Chrome. Also you won’t see the captcha to get the credentials/keys if your browser blocks adverts :stuck_out_tongue:

i had some problem installing

what did i do wrong?

thanks for your help…

The download stopped at 1% means the package was corrupted during download. Just try again.

I have been suffering from the same error again and again. I am pretty sure I am neither behind a proxy or blocked by the router. I used to be able to install it about 6 months ago but am to no avail this time. This issue also appears when I try to install flexget.

Any help or solution?
Many thanks.

@Nazar78

I did saw your ‘183.xxx.xx8.2xx’ making requests but there’s no indication of downloads. I was doing some stuffs last night and my NAS slowed down a lot. Maybe that’s the reason.

Thank you for your assistance and I believe there’s nothing wrong with the server.

The crux of the problem is that if the permission of /shares/.configs is set to be 775 and owned by the other user, the installation will fail to validate request as the Error-9 occurred before.
I have no idea how does it matters but it does cause the issue.

So I finally managed to install the program, Thx anyway

Frankly I also don’t understand why that can cause the download issue lol… But glad to know you now have it installed successfully. Enjoy (-:

Hello,

I have the same problem TungNg. After the function “Synchronizing your sistem time …”
It activates this entry “Checking Resource”. After, this is the message:

Error-9: Unable to retrieve required files! Fail to validate request. Report to me your IP '78 .X3.XX6.XX8 'if you still have issues. If you’re behind Web proxy, try my alternate port: curl teanazar.com:8245/installer.fcgi?transmission_2.84-1|sh;

Do not use proxy. I tried to set the permissions of Shares folder about 777, but I have not solved. Originally the permissions of this folder was 775.
The folder .configs in Shares not was preset. I create them whit permissions 777, but no news.

Could you explain how did you solve it?

Thank you @Nazar78

Good. Set the new permissions 777 to Shares and modify the group from Shares to Root. Now the error message is this:

Downloading → transmission_2.84-1 (2,498,914Bytes)…
Error-9: Unable to retrieve required files! Network lag or invalid request encountered. Try again few hours later

How to solve?

@Nazar78

I saw your last attempt took 40secs between the time you requested the installer and the time you begin to download. That’s too long. Maybe the issue was it took too long updating your system time. Can you try accepting the prompts quickly the next time you retry? Also time your request from your clock/watch/stopwatch whatever, from the time you saw the 1st prompt, till it shows downloading.

Thanks to assistance @Nazar78

Same problems.

Do you have any suggestion?

What about the timings?

Edited: I noticed your NAS took very long to respond, all about 40secs. Do you have anything running using high cpu? Check with top. I’ve removed the time update for subsequent retries, see if it helps.

Some problem.

There’s your problem. Try restarting your NAS. If you don’t care if your thumbnails gets corrupted, kill -9 13116;service samba restart;

Edited: typo in cmd :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks Nazar. I try now…
