Anything like Belkin Mediaplay from WD?

Hey guys…

For those who haven’t seen it, Belkin’s Mediaplay app lets you stream (anything I’ve tried) from your TV Live Hub to an IOS device using the built-in Twonky media server. It works well, but it’s not really simple to just launch a video; there’s a large number of selections that need to be made before you can just choose a video. But when it’s finally playing, it works beautifully.

Anyone seen anything like this that’s simpler? Something just for video streaming from the Hub? Anything from WD themselves?

Thanks…

There are several users that posted suggestion for apps that go along with the WD TV Live Hub.

Try using the search option on the forum.

Its a belkin labeled Twonky Beam.

RichUK told you the Belkin app is nothing more than a Belkin-specific version of Twonky.  True, the difference I see is another “button” on the home screen that appears to take one to the Belkin website.  (Belkin pays a fee to Twonky; they get a button!)  But, why have the “cheap knock-off” of Twonky Beam when you can have the “ad-free” original Twonky Beam?

Remove the knock-off, and install Twonky Beam, unadulterated.

I am one of the people here who introduced the folks here to Twonky Beam.  Check out the link, and in the two-page discussion there you’ll find lots of good info about TB, and other programs I have discovered for streaming video to the tablets and phones:
