In installed the AntiVirus Essentials app on my EX2, running it for the first time. I updated the virus definitions first, then manually started the virus scan.
After 28 hours, it was at 52% complete. Now after 100 hours, it is at 85% complete.
I have not been able to find any documentation on how this app performs, so I hope the Community can help.
Is it scanning each new file that is added to the drive? Does it also scan each new file while the scan is running? After the initial scan finally completes, will subsequent scans run more quickly? My intent was to schedule a recurring scan job after it completes the first one, but if it takes over a week to complete a scan (and the CPU is running at 100% during the scan), I’m not sure I want to schedule a recurring job.
Is anyone out there using this App? What has been your experience with it? After a search, I only found topics about app install issues, nothing about performance. Any info you can provide is appreciated.
