I own a WD TV Live Streaming Media Player and was hoping to use the official Android app “WD TV Remote”
I have the latest CyanogenMod 9 release of Android OS installed on my HP TouchPad
But the app page says it is incompatible with CM9
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d…wdremote&hl=en
Any idea why and what it takes to be compatible with CM9?
I have installed a few dozens of apps on CM9 in the last few days and this is the only one I could not
Thanks

As this seems to be an issue with your Android device I suggest that you try and get support from the HP Touchpad or CyangenMod tech support.

Found a solution from Android CM9 community:
First install Amazon Appstore on your HP Touchpad
Then find and instakll the “WD TV Remote” app from Amazon Appstore – it installs and works perfectly fine
(You will need to change the settings to allow apps from “Unkown Sources” for this to work)
I was able to install it yesterday to my TouchPad running CM9right from the Play Store ,but the layout doesn’t fit the screen properly for me - the down arrow is cut off and the page up and down buttons are hidden.
I used Titanium Backup on my Atrix to package up a copy I can install on anything.
I’d be happy to post a link, provided that’s cool with WD. Can anyone comment?
