First time here. i have 2tb raid 1 setup on vista home
all is good with the drive and i am very happy with it but i do have one little problem, that is everytime i want to access the wd i need to enter my username and password

Hi there, you mean when you try to access the SS user interface or a private share? o.o
If it is a private share then the one asking for the password is Vista (Even though the private shares belong to the SS) and unless the “Remember credentials” box is not working well and your OS is forgetting your credentials then you should not have issues.
privite share. yes both my desktop and laptop are vista home premium
i do check the “remember” box
I sort of fixed the problem my writing a small BAT file to login at startup
