A scheduled remote backup between two My Cloud PR4100 NAS both running 5.26.300 (latest) is now reporting the following error:
An error occurred for the remote backup job named NAS2NAS. Please check the backup job detail.
Issued on: 09-01-2023 12:48:26 PM
Alert Code: 1400
It started yesterday morning.
I manually restarted the backup twice, and both have now failed.
There is very little detail in the backup job log, none that gives any clue as to what may be causing this Code 1400 error.
This page did not help:
https://support-en.wd.com/app/answers/detailweb/a_id/17203/kw/alert%20code:%201400
There have been no changes in the physical network or its connections for these devices, which are on the same LAN.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

First, there is a specific subforum for your device where users more familiar with it may be able to assist.
OS5 My Cloud Pro Series

If you haven’t done so already, use the forum search feature to search for past discussions. There are a number of past discussions on the 1400 error/alert code. Its possible one of those past discussions has a solution or suggestions on how to deal with the code.

Basic troubleshooting steps. Reboot both My Cloud units. If the backup target is on a remote network one may need to check the remote network’s router to see if there were any changes made or if port forwarding needs to be enabled.

Thank you. Yes, discovered that other forum just now and posted there and was trying to get back here to delete the post.
No changes on my end have been made whatsoever…same network, same connections, so it whatever is going internally with these devices.
Is there a log to determine when an app version may have been updated? I don’t get those alerts by email.
