How do you know your v2.x firmware My Cloud upgraded to v4.x? V4.x IS NOT newer than v2.x firmware. The v4.x firmware is used on OLDER first generation single bay My Cloud P/N that ends with “-00”. Generally you cannot manually flash the v4.x firmware to v2.x My Clouds. One typically receives an error when they attempt to perform the flash and the user is returned to the My Cloud Dashboard.
I think there are a few other threads here that discuss the single bay second generation My Cloud stopped functioning after the very latest firmware upgrade.
I started the recent update it got to 100% and that is the last I saw of the device. Its now entirely gone from my network with a rapid flashing blue light. I let it sit more than 24 hours and it was still in the same mode. I tried the 40 second hard reset and its still in the same mode. Is the firmware corrupted? Is there a way to reinstall the firmware without GUI interface? or does it need a new controller board? I searched around, but I cant find specifics to not having GUI access or firmwar…
