After installing Pidrive

After installing the Pidrive a can’t install some apps from the terminal. I get an error saying failed to fetch… there is a long list of them. Any ideas?? Do I have to set the wifi up in each partition or just in the UI? Thanks for any help.

Hi, yes, you need to set-up WiFi in each Project Space (and also need to set-up raspi-config, as-required). Each Project Space has a fresh install of Raspbian Lite. Pro: you can set up each Project Space completely independent of the others (e.g. network name, login, regional settings, etc.). Con: you have to set up each Project Space, even if you want the same settings for all…

In case you/others need this- to set up WiFi:

bold font below: type in command line
{in brackets, not bold}: my comments

sudo nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
{change country as needed; in my case it’s “US”}
{add the following to the end of the file:}
ssid="{enter your router’s name/SSID here between quotation marks}"
psk="{enter your network’s password here between quotation marks}"

{exit the nano editor:}
ctrl-x, y, [enter]
sudo reboot

Example of added lines:

After rebooting, update the apt packages. Enter:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get clean

Then try fetching any packages you want.

Let me know if this fixes the problem.
