With original FW my WD TV plyed back all the files from my mediahub in 720i mode with sound, I’ve upgraded FW and now HDMI shows just 480i mode and no sound. Any settings changes could not help.

Have you search the rest of the forum about this? I’d give it a try. Or, have you tried contacting WD’s Technical Support? I would consider giving them a call or sending them an email.
