Added 2 new drives to empty bay - red light/How to config?

I just got my PR4100 and initially installed and set up 2 x 6 TB drives in a RAID 1 configuration (iMAC)

Last night I added 2 new 6TB into the two empty bays on the PR4100

I have 2 red lights on the new drives - and cannot figure out how to activate/config them - I want to use them as external storage

Looking for assistance or a point in the right direction

You likely have to configure the new drives that have been added to the My Cloud using the My Cloud Dashboard > Storage tab. The older OS3 PR4100 User Manual has a chapter on the Storage tab: https://products.wdc.com/library/UM/ENG/4779-705142.pdf#page=59
