Activation code >24hours

I bought the network drive on the understanding that I would
be able to access my files from anywhere. This 24 hour limit on access effectively
prevents me from leaving the office for more than a day. I need 24/7 access
with no limitations. Extending this to 48 hours would be patronising, I’m not a
child going out to play, this is a business. I shouldn’t have to ask .

If there is a security issue then this is a failure of WD
not addressing it, not “the world we live in”.

Any so-called cloud storage that requires you to return
physically and reconnect is a joke.

I suggest you sort it out before I demand a full refund from
WD for my livebook (including the app which doesn’t seem to work on 3G, only
wifi

This is a potentially great product ruined by a complete misunderstanding
of how people need to access their data.

I think you are misunderstanding the 24 hour limit. It’s a limit on how long you have to accept the invitation- not on how long you can use it afterwards.

Example 1: Person A invites person B to share the drive. Person B waits a week before accepting the invitation- they exceeded the limit, so they do not get access to the drive.

Example 2: Person D invites person C to share the drive. Person D accepts the invitation a few hours later, but doesn’t access the drive for a month. Person C goes to log in and sees the drive with no isseus because they accepted the invitation within the 24 hour period.

I believe what confusing people is that there is a bug with the activation of WD2go app. Even after entering the code on my iPhone within 24 hrs, the dashboard of my mbl still show the code as pending. The first time I tried it, it expired on me after 24 hrs and the app on the phone asked me for the code again. I tried another code again and that one expired too but this time the app still running. this issue didn’t happen to me with WD PHOTO. Now my dashboard shows WD photos as registered but not WD 2go although I am still using WD 2go app.
