I use the Acronis software to handle backups to our Western Digital MyCloud EX2 Ultra storage appliance. Backups were failing because of low disk space, but I am unable to alter the settings to fix it, because Acronis IMMEDIATELY tries to start a backup when I open it (which never completes), and the “options” button does not appear when a backup is in progress. I press the “Cancel” button to stop the backup, but THE CANCELLATION PROCESS NEVER COMPLETES AND IT SEEMS TO JUST HANG. I have waited up to an hour and a half after hitting “Cancel”, and it just says “Processing” with a spinning “busy” icon. So, it doesn’t work because there is insufficient space, but I can’t change the backup settings because it won’t let me get to the “options”.
I should also mention what happens if I do NOT try to cancel the attempted backup that it starts. It says “Calculating time remaining”, and never gets any farther. Right now, Acronis has been sitting there with the message “Calculating time remaining” for over 3 1/2 hours, never getting to the next step.
So nobodyhas answered this question since July? I guess this software is not the one to purchase if support just ignores this.
