Hi, Hopefully someone has been able do do this. My My Book Live drive was no longer able to be recognized on the network. I tried everything under the sun to troubleshoot and was unable to find a solution. I extracted the drive (a 1TB WD Caviar Green unit) from the casing and tried to connect it to both a Mac and a PC w/ windows 10 using an external USB case. The drive spins up and sounds normal but both OS/s say the drive needs to be formatted. Is there any way to access the drive other than the original ethernet interface? Thank you!
