Accessing backup time machine files

Hi,

I have recently been on a mission to backup everything on my mac so I can clear it out. I have been running a MyCloud backup for a few years. I bought a WD Passport as another backup, which died fairly shortly after buying it (and removing the photos from my mac). I would like to access the time machine backup data, however on finder/WDMyCloud/TimemachineBackUp I have 2 files. The first ends Pro.purgeable.sparsebundle and the other Pro.sparsebundle. Both contain a few files and and ‘Bands’ folder which contains a lot of small TextEdit Documents.

Is it possible to recover this data?

Thanks
(if anyone knows, if they could explain like they would to a child…)
