After about 5 years my wd1600bo11 125gb drive died, I had anouther WD drive lying around and opened the device and replaced it with a 250gb drive but I am only able to access 125gb of the new drive is there a way to assess the rest of the drive or do I have to buy a new enclosure?
Did you check on disk manager if the remaining space is not formatted?

Thank you that worked, i think, in the process of formatting the whole drive but see no problems, had formatted before but did not realize that windows was seeing two drives because of a partition.
