Access to My Book World Edition II trough Internet

Dear All

I try to get access to my book world edition II (NAS). Unfortunately, my trail were not successful and I have no clue how to do it. Can someone help me?

I have full access to my NAS as long as I’m connected to my home network. When I leave home I can’t access to my NAS anymore despite the fact that I have an Internet connection and my NAS is on and connected.

As recommended in the User manual of the “My Book World Edition II”, I set DHCP to static. Mionet is installed and I signed in.

By the way, my router is an Airport Extreme and I have no fix IP address.

How should I proceed to be able to access to my NAS over Internet?

How can I know my DNS Server address?

Does someone know how to set up my Airport Extreme to portforwarding?

What other steps should I make to reach my goal?

I thank you in advance for your help.

Over the internet you have Mionet and can do clean FTP. If you enabled FTP for the MBW under the configuration page> adv mode> network> services then all you need to do for FTP is to open a brower and type FTP://yourusername:yourpassword:thepublicIPaddressofyourMBW.

If your router doesn’t show it, then contact your ISP.

It’s an Apple product, so Apple should be able to help you with that.
