Access private share from My Book Live on TV Live

Hi all,

I recently bought a WD TV Live and a WD My Book Live. I have created a share on the My Book Live and have made it private and given access to one user.
When I am using the WD TV Live I can see the public folders on the My Book Live but cannot see the private share and can therefor not input the username and password for it. I didn’t want all my videos to be open to the world (hence the private share) so how can I make this work?

You’ll need to turn OFF “Auto Logon to Network Share” under network settings.

Then, CLEAR LOGIN INFO …  (same place)

Then log in again.   It will prompt you for User ID and password.

If you wish, you can then turn back on “Auto Logon to Network Share”.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

The problem is I cannot see the private share on WD TV Live to even try to put in a password.

When I have gone onto my My Book Live its has never asked for a password and has always just shown the public folders.

Not sure why the private video folder isnt showing up at all.

Where do I find the “Auto Logon to Network Share”?  I do not see in the dashboard network settings.

Working from memory here. If I recall, it’s under "SETTINGS / NETWORK " and it’s the near the bottom; maybe the 2nd from the bottom?
