Hoping this is not covered elsewhere, here is the issue:
I have 4 WD TV Live (gen 3) units each connected to a separate TV.
Each of these units is set up to access the exact same set of SMB shares (movies).
Within each of these shares a directory named .wd_tv has been created presumable for all the movie metadata.
My issue is how is access provided to each of these directories by four devices simultaneously. Would there not be an access violation? If not how is read/write to these directories managed for multiple WD TV devices?
I ask this because there seems to be activity following a switch from standby to on of any WD box to compile or update the media database (LED flashes for a few minutes) and then finally I can play a film (as long as it is not an HD MP4 that is).
