I have a WD TV Live Hub with audio set to pass-thru HDMI to a Yamaha a/v receiver.  My mp4 videos with multichannel AAC audio is played as 2 channel.  From what I’ve read, it’s more than likely due to my receiver not supporting AAC.

I’ve been researching the latest receivers, but I haven’t seen any that state they specifically support AAC.  How do I know if a receiver supports it?  How do I know my current one doesn’t, for that matter?
