first question is due to my layout i woudl need to ptu something like this into my wall to connect the livewire there http://www.amazon.com/58368-3-Grounded-Outlet-Adapter-White/dp/B001UE7SC8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1316919775&sr=8-2

will this cause the same conflict a surge protector would or is this alright to use?

2nd question is i need a power cord that is atleast 6 feet-10 feet long can anyone link me to a good replacment that is that size just the cord not the power adapter its self

I’m guessing that would be fine, because it’s probably a passive device.

thats what i was thinking…what about power cable do you kno where i can get one thats longer in length that will work with the power adpater
