A damaged or corrupted HDD

Hey guys,

I have really a big problem…I have formatted my pc this morning but before formatting it I putted all my important files on my passport [1Terra] HDD …so after I formatted my pc and installed my new os ,I started to copy my important files back to my pc , and while copying it my computer freezed so I restarted it and after restarting my PC I tried to open my HDD but it doesn’t want to open … so please can someone help me to get back my files from my HDD without formatting it … Please this HDD has very important Files .

This is most unfortunate. Have you been able to confirm if the unit works in another computer or after changing the USB cable? Did you search online for a free data recovery application or software? If recovery is not possible via software then you may need help from a professional data recovery service company.
