8TB Red HDD, defective?

Hi!

I bought a WD Red 8TB drive from Mindfactory.de about a week ago. After setting it up, I noticed it was making a clicking and beeping sound (five to ten clicks, then a beep). It’s not recognized by BIOS, Windows’s Disk Management nor by Data Lifeguard. I think the drive is defective, but I’d like to ask for your opinion as well. I’ve tried the drive on two computers, with which my other drives work perfectly well.

As the drive is not being recognized by BIOS nor by Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool, there may be issue with the drive and needs to be replaced. You should contact the place of purchase to return it.
