My 8TB My Cloud drive is frequently running and the read/ write noise is extremely irritating. I measured the noise level near the drive and it’s about 50-55 decibels. That’s below conversational level but loud enough to be completely noticeable and annoying.
I’m hoping someone can tell me if this is normal or not. Tech support couldn’t tell me and offered to replace it, but I don’t want to bother if the replacement is likely to be the same.
