8TB G-Raid to 12TB/16TB

Hi all,

I have an 8TB G-Raid drive, (not the one with removable drives), it’s well out of warranty, and I was wondering if I could removed the drives, and exchange them for larger capacity?

It’s thunderbolt, not sure if v1 or 2 though.

If so, would they just be recognised as 12TB or 16TB once plugged back in?
