80 gb hard drive RMA


i created RMA for my 80GB SATA hard drive and when i checked WD site iand googled came to know that its not manufactured anymore i called up comtercare they told me that upgraded haed drive will be shipped to me,

but when i checked same 80 GB HD has been shipped to me.

I would like to know that since it is discontinued that how could they  send 80 GB HD and it’s not corrected hard drive(swapped platters or heads mine hard drive clicked).

please reply it’s urgent

They must have had some in stock that that agent didn’t know about.  Even though a product is discontinued, doesn’t mean we wouldn’t have some in stock for RMAs.
