6TB Striped (RAID 0) slow speeds

Just got a new 6TB World Edition II. Had a previous 2TB World Edition.

Installed perfectly. Striped RAID formatting went perfectly.

Write speeds max out at ~12 MB/sec.

Read speeds max out at ~23 MB/sec. 

Both are slow, but it’s weird writing is slower than reading by a factor or two. (File size does not impact ratio).

Connected through Gigabit router to an i7 quad-core iMac. Everything is wired (no wireless).

This I can confirm is due to the 4k sectors of the drive, it is a known issue that RAID configurations on 4k drives using the Linux EXT3 file system gives slower performance. Check the internal drives section so you can expand on this.
