5T P10 Game drive OK on one box, Not OK on another

I have a new 5TB P10 Game Drive that I bought as an archive device to be used between two machines. One new “game box” (i7-11700K 3.6ghz/Z590 Aorus Elite Ax/2TB M.2 SSD/Win10 home 64) the other an older i7 box (i7-3770K 3.5ghz/ECS Ivy Bridge/Win10 pro 64). The WD Game Drive is stable on the Win10 home machine but won’t “stick” on the other. It will be visible in Explorer as long as I don’t attempt to actively view its content. Doing so immediately disconnects the drive from the system. The drive is a USB 3.2 device and is plugged into USB 3 ports on each machine.
Thanks for any insights. Speccy info files available on request
