I’ve read that some of the WD drives on the market have 4K sectors, but are using the same model designation as drives with 512B sectors. Unfortunately, I can’t recall where I read that. According to the WD AV-GP specs here, http://tinyurl.com/2unethl , these two models have 512B sectors. When I purchase one, how do I know whether it’s a 512B or 4K? Thanks, EdP
Look up the drive model on our Support Downloads/Installation page. It will say Adv Format in the table at the bottom of the page.
