I just purchased a 500gb WD Caviar Blue drive with the intention of installing it to an USB hardrive enclosure. Manhattan MH Hard Drive Enclosure. I installed the harddrive into the enclosue as per instructions, plugged everything, was notified by Windows XP that the device was installed and ready to use. When I opened My Computer, the drive was not listed. When I went to the Device Manager, the device was listed, and said it was running properly. How can I get the icon on “My Computer”
Hello everyone, I found the solution. The drive needed to be formatted!!! Very simple but when duncehood is present, nuttin’ is easy!!
